Reformer pilates uses a reformer, a machine with a sliding carriage, springs and straps that add resistance or support. Mat pilates uses your own body weight on a mat, sometimes with small props. Both build core strength, posture and control, and lots of people enjoy doing both.

Comfortable clothes you can move in and a water bottle. For reformer classes you'll need grip socks. If you don't have any, you can buy a pair at the studio. All mats and equipment are provided.

Absolutely, we work around injuries and health conditions. For a larger injury, we'd recommend contacting us first so we can assess it. For anything more minor, a health questionnaire will be sent after booking where you can give as many details as you like. For any recent injuries or health conditions that were treated medically, your doctor must approve your return to exercise.
